Public Display of Usernames, Avatars, and Messages in Discussion Channels

When users utilize Discussion Channels, their avatar, username, and messages will be public and viewable by any other user visiting those channels, unless it's a private Discussion Channel. Users send their messages at their own risk and are solely responsible for their submission, publication, and dissemination.

Why it matters: Information shared in public discussion channels, including usernames, avatars, and messages, will be visible to all users, meaning users should exercise caution as they are solely responsible for this content.

Collection of Information Upon Detection of Unauthorized Third-Party Programs

If an unauthorized third-party program is detected, information may be communicated back to Ubisoft, including the user's Account name, IP address, details about the detected program, and the time and date of detection.

Why it matters: If users employ unauthorized third-party programs, their account name, IP address, program details, and detection time/date may be automatically collected and sent to Ubisoft.

Account Closure Due to Inactivity with 30-Day Notice

Ubisoft may close an account that has been inactive for a long time and meets specific inactivity criteria. Users will receive a prior notice of at least 30 days via email or notification, warning them about the impending closure, its consequences, and steps to keep the account open.

Why it matters: Accounts inactive for extended periods may be closed, but users will receive a 30-day notice with options to prevent closure.

Loss of Save Files and In-Game Progression Upon Account Termination

In the event of account termination, users will no longer have access to their account and will lose all save files and in-game progression related to the Services.

Why it matters: Terminating an account results in the irreversible loss of all game save files and in-game progress.

Ubisoft May Prohibit Re-creation of Accounts After Termination

Ubisoft may, at its discretion, not allow users to create an account again without express permission after an account has been terminated.

Why it matters: Users may be permanently barred from creating new accounts with Ubisoft if their previous account was terminated, requiring special permission to return.

Ubisoft Can Suspend or Close All User Accounts If One is in Violation

If a user has more than one account and one account is suspended or closed by Ubisoft for violating terms, Ubisoft reserves the right to suspend or close all of the user's accounts under that process.

Why it matters: A violation on one of a user's accounts could lead to the suspension or closure of all their accounts, potentially resulting in loss of access across multiple services.

Broad License Granted to Ubisoft for Independent User-Generated Content

Users grant Ubisoft and its licensees a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free, irrevocable, transferable, worldwide license to use, copy, host, reproduce, represent, modify, display, distribute, publicly perform, publicly display, and generally exploit Independent User Generated Content (UGC) for any purpose.

Why it matters: Ubisoft obtains extensive, permanent, and irrevocable rights to use any content users create independently, without paying royalties or requiring user permission.

Ubisoft Does Not Accept Unsolicited Ideas or Suggestions

Ubisoft's company policy does not allow them or their employees to accept or consider any unsolicited ideas, suggestions, proposals, comments, or materials ("Submissions"). If users still submit ideas, they agree that these submissions are non-confidential, non-proprietary, and Ubisoft has no obligation to review, return, or acknowledge them.

Why it matters: Any unsolicited ideas or suggestions submitted by users will be deemed non-confidential and non-proprietary, and Ubisoft may use, redistribute, or disclose them worldwide for any purpose without compensation or credit.
